Description
An Elyria police officer was attacked while booking an inmate at the city jail on Sunday.Security footage shows Anthony Thomas, 29, of Cleveland, jumping over the desk and punching officer William Witt. Witt eventually gains control by placing Thomas in a choke.Witt was bruised but did not need to go to the hospital after the assault. Thomas, who was originally arrested for contempt of a court warrant, was also charged with assaulting a police officer.
